Taber Rehbaum, CEO
Chief Executive Officer
Taber Rehbaum serves as CEO for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Alaska, a donor supported volunteer driven organization that has served an average of over 1500 children per year in nearly twenty locations across the state since it was formed through the merger of the three Alaskan Big Brothers Big Sisters agencies in 2007.
From 1995 until the 2007 merger, she served as Executive Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters - Greater Fairbanks Area. During that time, she helped the agency grow the number of children served by approximately 1200%.
She has a degree in English and Business from Skidmore College in Saratoga NY. Prior to her move to Alaska in 1995, she spent several years in the banking industry on the East Coast – in Branch management, loan origination, and mergers and acquisitions.
She is the Legislative Chair for the Arctic Alliance for People, a member of the Fairbanks Rotary Club and is a member of the Steering Committee for the Alaska Women’s Lobby. She lives with her dog in a cabin on a hill north of Fairbanks, enjoying hiking, biking, skiing, mushing, and splitting wood.
